WHY I CHOSE ST. OLAF: I came to St. Olaf because it has a great community atmosphere, and this college allows me to pursue a degree in chemistry in a state-of-the-art science building.
CROSS COUNTRY HISTORY: This is my first year ever running cross country. Last year, I played soccer for the Oles, and in high school I played varsity soccer, hockey and lacrosse for four years.

RANDOM FACT: I have never read the “Harry Potter” books or watched the TV shows “Friends,” “Pretty Little Liars” or “Glee.”
BEST ADVICE I’VE RECEIVED: Everything happens for a reason; it just may take a while to find out what the reason is.
PLANS AFTER OLAF: Go to graduate school for chemistry and then find a job in a lab somewhere. Eventually I want to get my Ph.D.
