The Institute for Freedom and Community hosted its last lecture of the 2018 Spring series, “Freedom, Community, and Health Care” on April 26. Renowned health economists Amitabh Chandra, Director of Health Policy Research at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and Tyler Cowen, professor of economics at George Mason University, discussed their views on U.S. health policy and their problems with implementing a single-payer system in the U.S. The dialogue was moderated by St. Olaf economics professor Ashley Hodgson.
