Have you ever been studying on the third floor of the library and seen this sculpture? Who is she, and what is she doing, mysteriously stretching as you try to cram in your assignment? The piece, titled “In Her Dreams” was created in 2005 by Judy Onofrio, an artist based in Rochester, Minn. The inspiration for her work comes from Midwest attractions like the Grotto of the Redemption in Iowa and the lively Pop art movement. This mixed media piece includes multiple bead styles, buttons, and various other collected materials.
