Thomas Bowman (Constitutional Conservative)
Thomas Bowman is a retired engineer who was recruited to run by the Patriots Run Project. The Patriots Run Project is tied to a Democratic consulting firm and recruits right-wing candidates to run as third party candidates. The project considers itself to be helping Democratic candidates win through the splitting of the Republican vote. If elected, Bowman will focus on implementing term limits and reducing the national debt.
Angie Craig (Democrat)
Angie Craig, a former executive at St. Jude, has represented the competitive second district since 2019. Like Klobuchar, Craig positions herself as a moderate, placing in the top 2% for members of Congress who are the most bi-partisan. In the House, Craig helped get $25 million to expand broadband in rural Minnesota. She has also been the lead sponsor of the Affordable Insulin Now Act, which capped prices on insulin at $35 a month. Craig’s platform includes support for abortion rights and concern for addressing the opioid epidemic.
Joe Teirab (Republican)
Joe Teirab, a marine veteran and federal prosecutor, gained public attention for his involvement in helping to prosecute participants in the Feeding Our Future COVID-19 fraud scandal in which 250 million taxpayer dollars were stolen. If elected, Teirab plans to work toward lowering the cost of living and securing the southern border, which he believes should be done in conjunction with reforms to the legal immigration process. Teirab stands in opposition to a federal ban on abortion, believing that the federal government should not dictate to states what their abortion policy should be, and supports exceptions to an abortion ban in cases of rape, incest, and to save the life of the mother.
