Ruth Dahl
Ruth Dahl is a Northfield native who boasts a 17-year tenure on the Northfield School Board and a 25-year career in housing development and property management. On Dahl’s campaign website, ruth4mayor.com, her key issues are local spending, a reduction in new city projects, and the preservation of the Northfield legacy. She plans to scale back government spending and drive more business and housing development, in turn creating shovel-ready opportunities for industry in Northfield and lessening the tax burden for citizens. Her plans include scaling back public projects, which have led to increases in property taxes in recent years. Dahl won the most votes in the primary.
