Dear Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive,
Do you know what my favorite part of the Paris Olympics were? The open water swim in the Seine river. Nothing captivated my attention more than the athletes standing on that bridge and jumping into the turbulent water, racing against each other and nature at the same time. It was a truly powerful demonstration of the indomitable human spirit.
So my question for you is, when are you guys going to adopt? There’s many stunning waterways here in Northfield, such as Big Pond, the Cannon River, the puddle on the quad, and the Carleton Arboretum. Now I know what you’re probably all thinking, that water is gross. And well… maybe. But everyone said that the Seine was filthy, and all of those athletes turned out okay… right?
