Spring sports at St. Olaf has begun. There are two sports that I personally cannot wait to attend on campus: baseball and softball. There are a multitude of things to love about these games.
First off the bat — the slow building anticipation over multiple innings makes every pitch, swing and play feel notable. Secondly, each game is very unpredictable; A single play can change the entire course and every game holds something different. Who could forget about the environment? I’m able to spend some time outside in the sun while watching an exciting game, snacks in hand within a roaring crowd.
Luckily, both seasons are quite long and there are plenty of games to attend. The first home baseball game is Tue. April 1 vs. St. Mary’s University on the Mark Almli Field. Soon after, the first home softball game is Wed. April 2 vs College of Saint Benedict on the Mabel Shirley Field. Come cheer on your dedicated Ole spring athletes this spring!
