President: Fiona Mundy ’26
Vice President: Karen Henriquez Fajardo ’26
In an interview with The Olaf Messenger, Fiona Mundy ’26 and Karen Henriquez Fajardo ’26 said that their biggest goal for the upcoming academic year as Student Government Association (SGA) President and Vice President is to get more students involved in SGA. Both expressed heavy inspiration from past SGA presidents and vice presidents who created a welcoming environment where all senators could feel comfortable and confident asking questions, voicing concerns, and taking on leadership roles. Mundy and Henriquez Fajardo plan to combine what they have learned from past administrations to continue building a welcoming space and foster a strong community in SGA.
“We have a great executive team for next year, which I’m so thrilled about,” Mundy said. “I can just tell we are gonna get a lot of work done, and everyone on the team is so smart. I am excited about all the ideas, creativity, and energy they are bringing.”
“I want to invite anyone and everyone — freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, athletes, people who have never interacted with SGA, all majors, all passions — to just stop into our office,” Henriquez Fajardo said. “There’s always a place for anyone and everyone in SGA.”

Clemmons plans to continue the work she started last year by building stronger student-to-admin connections, expanding alumni engagement, and finishing the goals outlined in a shared DEI document.
Secretary of Global Impact
Selwe Mbingo ’26
When asked about her new role, incoming secretary of Global Impact Selwe Mbingo ’26 said, “I’m hoping to help foster an awareness of global issues and global successes on campus. As the world becomes more interconnected, it is necessary for students to challenge themselves by thinking in new perspectives, and to cultivate empathy for others.”
Mbingo is passionate about improving the efficiency of Global Impact and facilitating dialogue between students on campus.
“My favorite thing to do is to just sit and talk to people. This is the point at which understanding, empathising, and questioning can begin,” she said. “So I’m personally looking forward to having a lot of rich dialogue and learning new things every week.”
Secretary of Involvement
Maggie Walsh ’26
Looking ahead to her second year in the role, Secretary of Involvement Maggie Walsh ’26 looks forward to continuing her work of funding student organizations, completing a review system for organizations, improving the availability of resources for students through SGA’s website, and partnering with the DEI board on a workshop for organizations.
“I love our student organizations,” Walsh said in an interview with The Olaf Messenger. “It is amazing when orgs ask for money and then take their group on a trip, or design a fundraiser, or help the community. Our students are fantastic and creative, and I can’t wait to see what they do.”
Secretary of Local Impact
Lily Spoerke ’27
Lily Spoerke ’27 is excited about her new role as Secretary of Local Impact.
“My goal is to further our campus community connection with the city of Northfield and to get students more involved in the happenings of the community,” Spoerke said in an interview with The Olaf Messenger. “Northfield is such a wonderful place, and I want to create a relationship between our campus and Northfield so we can support each community.”
Secretary of Student Affairs
Anna Grace ’26
“My vision going into the next school year is to engage with students,” said incoming Senator of Student Affairs Anna Grace ’26 in an interview with The Olaf Messenger. “My role is two-faced: it’s engaging with administration and engaging with students. But, sometimes, the student aspect gets lost.”
In her role as Secretary of Student Affairs, Grace intends to collaborate with the Secretary of Academic Affairs, plan initiatives to extend dining hall hours, expand mental health services, and engage with the administrators including the Board of Regents and the President’s Leadership Team.
