St. Olaf Athletics
Q: How has the start of the year and your practices been going?
A: “They have been good. Working on building foundations and how the team works together. Every year is different, even when you have a lot of the same people, as you figure out the strengths of the team and how everyone works together.”
Q: Has being a part of the softball team and St. Olaf athletics helped you find a place on campus?
A: “St. Olaf athletics has helped me find my place through a strong sense of community and general
sense of uplifting others that is very strongly felt throughout the athletics community. My team is
my family and I would be lost without them. St. Olaf does an amazing job of supporting its
athletes and building a strong community within athletics. Every team supports other teams, you
will always find teams supporting other teams throughout their seasons.”
Q: How has your recovery been? Has St. Olaf helped in your recovery?
A: “My recovery from my injury last year has been long and brutal. Continual Physical Therapy for the last 11 months as well as working with doctors in the cities and outside physical therapists. However, the athletic trainers and my coaches and team have stood behind me a hundred percent which has made a huge difference. No matter if you are hurt or not, you are a part of the athletics community from the day you commit and can always count on them to work with you for whatever you need.”
