During the Feb. 7 game against St. Scholastica, Solvei Berg-Messerole ’26 reached a career high by becoming the third player in the St. Olaf Women’s Hockey program to join the 100-point club at the College.
Berg-Messerole started the 2025-2026 season at 77 points and set the 100-point club as a goal for her last collegiate hockey season. While only one name goes into the record book, Berg-Messerole credits her teammates for reaching the 100-point milestone.
“A lot of my points have come off of assists, so I owe a lot to the people who have scored those,” Berg-Messerole said.
Her 100th point was an assist for Molly Terebayza ’26.
“Throughout our career, I’ve been fortunate enough to assist a lot of her goals,” she said. “I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to be a part of that.”
Berg-Messerole sees joining the 100-point club as more of a team accomplishment than a personal one because it “ultimately leads to more team success.”
As Berg-Messerole continues towards the end of her collegiate hockey career, she only has one thing in mind: to play more hockey for St. Olaf. On Feb. 20-21, the team will play in its last regular-season game against Bethel University. Currently, both teams are tied for the last spot in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) playoffs. This weekend will determine whether Berg-Messerole and the rest of the senior players will get to play more hockey in their final season together.
