KSTO hosts so many radio shows it’s hard to pick just one to listen to, but if you’re free on Fridays at 3 p.m, “the babbling Brooke” is the perfect addition to your day. The hosts, Brooke LaVoi ’27 and Jasmine Patterson-LaBaw ’27, introduce a variety of songs that range from lively and relaxing, to upbeat and pop-y, appealing to a wide audience.
On Nov. 14, they played many chill, nostalgic songs such as “Letters from the Day” by Wasia Project and “Castle in Hollywood” by Laufey. They also aired songs like “Dream Hill” and “Destinations” by Casiopea. The two tracks, jazz-like fusions with guitar and piano instrumentals, shifted the vibe from the beginning of the show. One of the last songs they aired was “Hello Darling” by Sarah Kinsley, which mirrored the soft, nostalgic songs at the start of the episode and offered a mellow end to the show.
“The babbling Brooke” is a great way to spend your Friday afternoon: the hosts create a nostalgic and lively afternoon, complete with good chemistry and even better songs. Tune in to KSTO Radio on Fridays at 3 p.m for “the babbling Brooke.”
