The Olaf Messenger reported on March 2 that the Student Government Association’s (SGA) Textbook Initiative has returned to campus. The Textbook Initiative is currently conducting a survey to assess “student and faculty perspectives and feedback on affordability, access, and utilization of course materials at St. Olaf,” according to the survey. The Textbook Initiative is designed to help make textbooks more affordable to St. Olaf students and is funded by the student government.
The initiative began in 2019, but the effort was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the transition to online classes in March 2020.
