If you don’t know what a banana boat is, I feel bad for you. Banana boats are something I grew up making with my Girl Scout Troop. They have since become a campfire staple for me. It was always a fun activity; laughing around a fire as you stuffed as many marshmallows as you could into a banana. Some people might think sticking bananas into a fire is strange, but trust me, it tastes delicious. Also, they’re healthy because bananas have fiber and stuff. Everyone should try a banana boat once in their lives, if not for just the experience of roasting a banana. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- 1 handful of chocolate chips
- 1 handful of mini marshmallows

- Tinfoil
- Bonfire

- Build a bonfire.
- Take a banana and cut a slit on the top, the long way. Make sure to keep the peel on!
- Stuff the banana with chocolate chips and marshmallows until it is overflowing.
- Wrap the banana in tinfoil, making sure it is completely covered.
- Once the bonfire dies down, stick the wrapped banana boat on the hot coals.
- Wait about five minutes for the chocolate to melt.
